Rugs, like carpet, require regular professional maintenance. Our full service custom rug studio starts with a proper rug dusting. A small 4×5 rug can hold several pounds of dry damaging soil & sediments. We first roll your rug over a specially made grate to suspend the rug and allow all the bugs, allergens, dirt and grit are shaken loose from the rug and fall easily away from your rug. The RugBadger harnesses over 40,000 harmonic vibrations a minute to vibrate out even the most stubborn soil and sediments caught deep in the fibers of any area rug, cleaning better than any other method.

Not every carpet cleaner is trained in the unique characteristics of wool and how to properly clean and spot remove. We have the IICRC certification and have had personal training from Aaron Groseclose a CRI & IICRC instructor who has written the first comprehensive manual on rug cleaning.

Pristine’s Rug Cleaning Process

  • Pickup: We come to your home, roll up the rug and carefully transport to our in-plant facility.
  • Pre-inspection: We check for pre-existing conditions that may require extra care during cleaning process, such as dye bleed.
  • Dye stabilization: If the rug is a bleeder we can set the dyes before cleaning.
  • Dry soil removal: If the rug is tufted or woven we can use the Rug Badger for optimum soil removal. If your rug is a flat weave we have special vacuums to remove soil gently.
  • Spot removal: We have a whole separate line of spotters designed for fine wool, silk, & other natural fibers.
  • Cleaning: We have a variety of methods, again dependant on the rug, dry cleaning, hot water extraction, or submersion cleaning, the ultimate way to remove pet urine.
  • Drying: our unique custom rack allows us to dry your rug without bleeding, edge curl, nor fringe browning.
  • Fringe Detail: We groom and brighten the fringe, upon request we can also bleach the fringe.
  • Stain repellant: We can apply a stain shield to provide the highest level of protection from water, oily and dry soils. These should be reapplied yearly.
  • Packaging: We place your rug in a protective covering dependant on where it will go after it leave us, plastic sleeve for transport, paper wrap for temporary storage, or breathable wrap for long term storage.
  • Delivery: We return your rug safely to your home.
